The elements of the Big Island gave way to a beautiful day, as athletes took to the course of the 2018 Ironman World Champions in Kona. Despite Kilauea Volcano actively spewing lava since early May, Athlos ambassadors Jenny Boulmeti and Lamprini Liouta, fearlessly attacked the course. This race, known as the "world's most difficult one-day sporting event” consists of a 2.4-mile ocean swim, 112-mile bike, followed by 26.2-mile run. Athletes are put to the ultimate test through every stage, from jelly stings to heat and high winds.
Jenny and Lamprini had incredible races, each achieving personal milestones and results. The athletes used a combination of Athlos Chronos triathlon products to battle the elements and conditions. Jenny used the Chronos Short Sleeve Skinsuit and Lamprini used a combination of the Chronos tri top and Chrono tri short.
